Laundry Care Policy

Draft for review. This document is a working template prepared for Laundry Free and has not been reviewed by counsel. It must be reviewed and approved by the business owner and a licensed attorney before launch.
How your laundry is handled from pickup to delivery, and what happens if something goes wrong.
Household separation
Every bag receives a unique bag ID at pickup. Your household's laundry is washed, dried, folded and packaged separately and is never combined with another customer's laundry at any stage.
Washing and drying
We wash to your saved preferences: standard or sensitive fragrance-free detergent, fabric softener on or off, dryer sheets on or off. Items are dried by fabric type — towels and heavy cottons hot, everyday wear moderate, delicates lowest.
Care labels are followed where labels are present and legible. Items without labels are treated as everyday wash.
Items we cannot accept
Dry-clean-only garments, leather, suede, heavily soiled items presenting a biohazard, items contaminated with paint, solvents or fuel, and any item where washing would be unsafe. If we find such an item we return it unwashed and tell you.
Stains and pre-existing wear
We treat visible stains as part of standard service where safe, but we do not guarantee stain removal. Fading, shrinkage, pilling or damage resulting from a garment's own age, construction or care label is not something we can prevent.
Damaged or missing items
Report an issue within 72 hours of delivery. Because every order is tracked to a bag ID through each processing stage, we can trace where an item was. Where Laundry Free is responsible, we will make it right — repair, replacement or credit — and the specific remedy and any limits will be stated in the final owner-approved version of this policy.
